Barbara Giliberti

Barbara Giliberti is Advisor to the CEO at Safran Defense & Space, Inc. (Safran DSI), where she provides advice and counsel to the CEO and the Board of Directors on a wide range of issues, particularly relating to SSA compliance and FOCI issues, corporate governance and employment issues.

Before Safran DSI was established in May 2024, Barbara was General Counsel and Vice President, Compliance at Optics 1, Inc., where she was responsible for all legal affairs of the Company and for oversight and management of Human Resources, Contracts, Export Compliance, Trade Compliance, Facility Security, Information Security, and compliance with the Company’s Special Security Agreement. She also served as the Secretary of the Company.

Barbara has spent the majority of her career focusing on employment matters and corporate governance in both public and private companies, with annual revenues ranging from $6M to $1B.

Barbara holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from American University and a JD from Washington College of Law. She has served as a Board member and in multiple officer roles in the National Capital Region chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
