Julien Apollon

Julien Apollon is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Safran Defense & Space, Inc. (Safran DSI), overseeing legal, compliance and corporate transactions. With over a decade of experience in M&A, cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance, he plays a pivotal role in shaping legal strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving corporate growth through strategic M&A and corporate ventures initiatives.

Prior to joining Safran DSI, Julien served as Legal Counsel at Vectronix Inc. during its merger with Optics 1, Inc., where he played a critical role in post-merger integrations and corporate structuring. He also practiced law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Mayer Brown LLP, advising multinational corporations on high-value M&A transactions, securities offerings and regulatory matters.

Julien is fluent in English, French and Portuguese, enabling him to navigate complex international transactions and regulatory frameworks. He also teaches “Legal and Business Issues in Initial Public Offerings” as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law.

Julien holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
