Kelvin Estioko, Director of Engineering, Testing & Telemetry
Kelvin Estioko leads engineering initiatives at Safran DSI Testing & Telemetry, driving innovation, value enhancement, and lifecycle performance across digital acquisition units, ruggedized recorders, telemetry technologies, and advanced aircraft data systems. He provides strategic direction for engineering operations and strengthens cross-functional collaboration to help deliver high-reliability solutions for aerospace and defense customers.
With more than 20 years of experience across the aerospace, defense, and rugged computing sectors, Kelvin has held technical and leadership roles at organizations such as Collins Aerospace, Gilat (formerly DataPath), Mercury Systems (formerly Germane Systems), Envistacom, and Trenton Systems. His background includes leading teams in the design and integration of VPX-class hardware, C5ISR platforms, SATCOM mobility systems, flight simulation structures, and airborne electronics. He has driven process maturity and engineering excellence through disciplined requirements management, digital engineering, and configuration management.
Kelvin’s leadership philosophy centers on clarity, technical rigor, and empowering high-performing teams to solve complex problems with precision and accountability. He is known for cultivating strong engineering cultures, developing talent, and ensuring mission-focused execution across complex program lifecycles.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech along with industry certifications in mechanical design, Lean Six Sigma and IPC standards.
Beyond his professional role, Kelvin is dedicated to family and the outdoors, spending time with his wife and children while pursuing hands-on hobbies such as building and riding mountain bikes and exploring remote trails through overlanding.
